Upholding one of our Proud Traditions, our Head Boy and Head Girl represented the school with solemn respect, laying a wreath at the St Cuthbert’s Church War Memorial. Back at school, our Griffin family contributed to a stunning poppy display showing a Spitfire surrounded by poppies.
Each poppy was crafted by a child, symbolizing remembrance and celebrating Castle Vale’s unique history as a Spitfire plane manufacturing site during WW2. During a special assembly, the children learnt about the sacrifices made, concluding with a two-minute silence.
