Yesterday, we celebrated the retirement of John Doyle. John has worked as the caretaker at Chivenor School for the past 14 years and has been an exceptional colleague and loyal friend. Over the years, he has welcomed thousands of Griffins, families and visitors though our school gates: always with a friendly smile.
To mark this important day in his life, we held a retirement assembly, during which the children and staff sang him two special songs and he took part in his own graduation ceremony. Following this he headed out on the red carpet to meet the many parents who also wanted to show their appreciation for his hard work and support over the years.
We wish him all the best for this new chapter in his life.
