This week, our Year 5 children learned about a traditional dessert enjoyed by the children at City Gates Academy, Manilla, Philippines. ‘Halo, Halo’, which translates to ‘Mix, Mix’ consists of: coconut dessert, creme caramel, jelly, sweet kidney beans, jackfruit, ice-cream and sweetcorn. Our Griffins added a small amount of each ingredient to their cup before mixing it up. Although the sweetcorn was not a hit, most children agreed that the dessert was delicious !
