We are delighted to be involved in the ‘Proud to be a Brummie’ project in conjunction with Birmingham Arts School. To start the project, our Year 3 Griffins visited The IKON Gallery in Birmingham to learn the art of printmaking. Their session focussed on creating a textured printed background with a strong, worded message outlined on top. They also visited the gallery to look at the art work on display, including prints which were installed 60 years ago when the gallery was originally opened. The next stage of the project involves working with a professional artist to create an instillation which will be displayed to the public in June.
