On Monday 6th November, our Griffins took part in assemblies and workshops with motivational speaker Bart Gee. Bart was born with a rare physical disability called Arthrogryposis causing him to have weak muscles and stiff joints. Doctors said he would never walk and may not ever have the strength to be able to sit up independently, and he would have a bleak outlook to life. Bart persevered in every area of his life, determining that although things may be incredibly hard to achieve, they were still possible. Our Griffins learnt how Bart undertook daily jobs and how he had adapted tasks such as driving a car and playing the piano so they were achievable with his disability.
